Friendship Success Story - Bali Women

Something you can’t control or plan for is how close the retreat guests will get- especially when the majority come in as strangers. You can mostly bank that they will at least have a lot in common if they are coming to a niche wellness retreat, but we were over the moon about the friendships that were formed by the end of our first Bali retreat.

Having been guests in retreats ourselves PLUS meeting at a retreat or yoga training, we personally have experienced the deep connections that retreats foster. It is more than a week of lush yoga and a pause from “normal” life - it’s a moment in life that has called for the right people at the right time to meet, learn from one another, and build lasting connections.

Knowing how powerful these opportunities for connection are, we made sure to create an environment for our guests to feel safe to drop their walls and be seen. We can create this space, hold bonding workshops, and encourage vulnerability, but it is ultimately the energy of the group that determines the lasting bonds.

By the end of the week, we had laughed, cried, danced, moved in silence, and relaxed together. We spent our closing circle writing sweet love notes and reminders in each others’ journals. We said bittersweet goodbyes and made promises to stay in touch and see one another again.

A little tip for when you book a retreat: plan a couple extra days in the location to keep exploring with your new friends.

With love & excitement,

Jaden
